1/22/2004 (11pm) - I am a very happy girl tonight.  I called over 10 record stores and I finally found it.  Someone sold a copy in to a record store today!  So I got a used copy! :) My dear friend Gina and I  had to drive over 100 miles today to go up to LA to get it.  But it was well worth it. 

The CDs are just amazing!!!! I can not say this enough.  As a Cure record collector I have heard most of these songs, but to hear them crystal clear and re-mastered is just amazing!!!! . I was most pleased with CD 3-14 - "Hello I Love You" (Unreleased Psychedelic Mix),  I have never heard anything like it.  I loved it!!   I also really liked hearing  CD3-8 "Purple Haze" (Virgin Radio)- our copy was an old distorted copy..

 I esp.  loved....
CD 1-9  - "Lament" (Flexipop Version) So crystal clear - unlike the one I have with the coin placed on the Flexi! :)
CD 2-7 "Doing the Unstuck" (Unreleased 12" Version) (brought back a ton of 1992 Concert memories!)
CD 3-14 - "Hello I Love You" (Unreleased Psychedelic Mix) I have never heard anything like it.  I loved it!!
CD 4-8 "Possession" (Unreleased 2000)

It is so wonderful to hear most of these songs on CD's for the very first time....  They sound so much better then I ever thought that they would. It is a great time to be a CURE fan!!!!!!! :)  We are so lucky!!!!!  Most bands so not put out this kind of material.  A lot of effort went in to this book.  I can't wait to read it all tomorrow.... The booklet is beautiful.  I love the way the photos of the various singles are incorporated with the years/photos.

You HAVE to buy it!!! I mean it!   Go order it RIGHT NOW!!!   Or make sure you are out front your local store ready to go in when it opens @10am Monday/Tuesday!!!! You will not be disappointed... :)

It is my birthday on Saturday and this was a great early birthday present. :)

82 - The big fight  with Simon and Robert was in Strasbourgh on the floor of a club.

83 - "the Upstairs Room" was Severin's flat.  Robert went to Alaska in 83! :)

84 - Robert ended up in the hospital...

85 - "A Few Hours After This"  was almost a A-side!

87 - "To the Sky" was played during soundchecks!

89 - Boris's dog played keyboards on "Babble"!

90 - "Harold & Joe" - from Neighbours!

94 - Simon also left for a short "holiday", because he thought he was the reason everyone else was going"

I feel somewhat sad now that I just finished reading the booklet!!!! :( .  I learned a lot of new things about the great B-sides of the Cure. This is one of the best things the Cure have ever done... I am proud to be a Cure fan today!! :) I am so lucky to have gotten this Box-Set so early.  What a great birthday weekend for me. :) thanks boys! :)

Ok - now April FOUR Re-mastered CDs!!!! How about a concert playing ALL of the songs in a row!!!!.  One word!  DOUBT! -  LIVE!!!!!!   :)  A girl can dream right. :)

How can I wait that long!  Well with four new CD's I think I might manage. :) Or not. :)

and in less then a month I will get Coachella Tickets... :)

Looking forward to a great Cure year.  A new CD and a World Tour... :)
